If books could kill...
Rejected, reviled and ridiculed by publishers, would-be novelist Karen Davies one night excavates all of her fury and unleashes it on the page—creating a monster that proves to be a big hit with readers.
But her imagination is so powerful, it appears to have conjured up her paranormal killer for real.
And soon, the supernatural psycho begins a campaign of terror and vengeance on anyone who criticizes his creator's work.
The more books Karen writes, the more bodies pile up—and the police seem incapable of solving the bloody murders and catching the unhinged avenger.
A short, sharp, shock of a novel from acclaimed horror author, Thomas Emson (Maneater, Skarlet, Zombie Britannica).

Available as: e-book and paperback

Dear reader! If you are looking for a dark, bloody and gritty fantasy novel, "Curse of the fallen city" by A.K. Lockwood is just for you. This book is my debut, originally submitted to several Polish publishers, but the terms of collaboration proposed to me were not suitable, so I decided to publish this novel independently, trying to maintain the best quality of the book.

The story is set in a world full of wars and conflicts, where every decision has its consequences. However, despite the heavy atmosphere, reading this novel is „pure pleasure, according to the editors from publishing houses”. The novel is full of action, descriptions of battles, and side plots. The pace of the action is rapid, and the adventure is epic. The main character finds himself in the midst of a centuries-old conflict between mysterious organizations. As you travel with him through dangerous places and meet his unexpected allies, you delve into an intriguing world where every decision has consequences. This book will completely captivate you, and you won't be able to put it down until the very end. The action is fast-paced, and the whole story is presented in a truly cinematic style.

It is a mix of fantasy/action/adventure genres with a strong emphasis on action.

Readers who enjoy geopolitics in their books will also find something for themselves. This thread is presented in a simple and understandable way, making it easy for even novice readers to identify with it.

One of the biggest strengths of this novel is also the dynamic and exciting fight scenes that will not leave you indifferent. I didn't spare the characters and tried to lead the reader through brutal clashes that will certainly be remembered for a long time.

Although this is my debut, "Curse of the fallen city” is definitely a book worth reading. If you are looking for a captivating story full of action, friendship, and love, which will make your evening with tea or a glass of good wine more enjoyable.

Short story of the book:

The Twenty-Year War brought the old continent to ruin. Kingdoms, ravaged by poverty and mistrust towards their neighbors, closed themselves behind an iron curtain, severing all diplomatic ties. Five years after the war, we find ourselves in the city of Braga, once a trading center of the Merkucjan kingdom. There, we meet Angus, a former officer of an elite scouting unit, who, trying to find his place in the new reality, uses the skills acquired in the army to make ends meet by carrying out small jobs for the city's inhabitants. He does not expect that the next job offer will forever change his life, entangling him in the whirlwind of mysterious conspiracies and placing him at the very center of a hidden conflict, in which secretive organizations have been fighting each other for centuries. How will he find his way in this new situation?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Under the pseudonym A.K. Lockwood hides more Polish-sounding and familiar "Andrzej", a graduate of the University of Economics in Wrocław, majoring in "Management, Informatics, and Finance". I can't reveal more, as he is a mysterious gentleman. Truth be told, he can barely manage himself, let alone others. Does he expect immense financial success? Not entirely. So what does he hope for, you might ask? He hopes that his books bring readers at least half as much joy as creating them brings him. Is he a writer? That's definitely too "grand" of a word, rather an author who creates new worlds hidden within the recesses of his mind. Perhaps someday he will come forward, but until then, he will keep writing, hoping that his creativity will capture someone's interest.

Immortal Decision

Forty-three children were born after a failed military experiment. Two, one man, one woman, possess ultimate power. It's no longer man verses woman, but compassion verses hate.
At twenty-five, Dean Carson hides a power within himself that he doesn't even know. A failed marriage, along with a haunting memory from childhood, leaves his mind as well as his heart, torn and tattered, and seeking the comfort of death.
Julie Beckley, a friend since childhood, knows his life better than he knows himself. Carrying a love for him since youth, she must race time and obstacles to convince him of the truth.
One of the last things Dean's mother cryptically said before her death was, "What your life is, has yet to be revealed. What your life will be, has yet to come."
A lengthy letter found after her death in part said, "Not only will men fear you, but a nation will also. Because of that fear, they will try to kill you." Tough words to read for a man trying to discover who he is.
When the military, the Secret Service, and even the president get involved, his journey becomes more complicated.
