Boro Chronicles Part 1

Boro Chronicles Part I: The Buffalo

2008. The peace of a Borokanis north shore night is disturbed by a fiery explosion. Out of this fire fall machine parts, and then, a man. This man's name is Rono Kenuk, and he comes from "far away."

A year later, in Metriga, 18-year-old mechanics prodigy Daisuke Kerados tours Denanta Labs hoping for an internship. Rono Kenuk is employed here as part of a small team working on futuristic appliances and gadgetry. Denanta is run by an enigmatic figure only known as "Richard."

Rono wants to go back where he came from and thinks Daisuke can help him get there. Daisuke wants no part in this, but ends up helping anyway after his explosive temper gets the better of him. What they end up discovering is beyond belief, as it may lead to the greatest treasure in Borokanis history. But for Rono, this could mean a way back home. Thanks to Rono's big mouth, however, he is not going to be the only one after it.

A time traveler. An exiled king. And a treasure.

The adventure begins here.

Did I Give You Permission to Run?

The Neon Funeral

Psychological Horror / Thriller

In 1973, a creature known as The Shaker appeared to four psychologists in Sourville, North Carolina, and began a game entitled "The Pandemonium," in which paranormal terrors would build up and leak out into the world for 33 years. The psychologists must successfully cure 33 of the town's most demanding patients before New Year's 2007, in which a keepsake from every cured patient must be offered as tithe in a process known as the Neon Funeral, which will mark an end to the game. If the psychologists fail, the entire town will be flung into an endless psychosis known as the Neon Void.

It is 2006, and Dr. Faust, the last surviving psychologist of his era, is now tasked with fending off the massive unraveling of the townspeople's psyche while coming to terms with his failure to help his last two clients, as well as his own failing health. With a monstrous version of an irredeemable client from his past on the loose, a weary local detective may be his last serendipitous link to redemption.

**
Detective Amanda Glass of Sourville, North Carolina has seen quite a few things on the job, Bun nothing had prepared her for this. Though she managed to deal with an incident involving psych ward patients, something seemed...off about them. Their faces were blurred, and they seemed bullet resistant.

She can't put her finger on it, but there's something going on, something dangerous. The psyches of Sourville's citizens are unraveling and nothing seems to be able to stop it.

Will Amanda be able to find out what it is and put an end to this madness? Or is it game over for all of Sourville?

Russian HellwayZ

Igor Generalov dips his creative pen into zombie territory and elevates it into literary horror. Russian HellwayZ tells the story of eight men in a brigade: Yuri Sanych, Sergey Popov, Victor Mikhailov, Alex Redkin, Oleg Varlamov, Sanya Lapshunov, Farkhad the cook, and Mikhail Myakinin. Hired to work at the isolated island of Sengeisky, they become detached from civilization. The cold is fierce, and the job entails dismantling a drilling station. After five weeks, the truck that delivers their food doesn’t come, and two days before that, there is a complete communication shutdown. They can only do so much by improvising and maximizing whatever is at their disposal. As it becomes clear to them that something is not right, they set out to reach the capital, and they will have to work together as a zombie apocalypse team.

Igor Generalov delivers something unique in a time when we must all work together to battle a pandemic. If you think that Russian HellwayZ was written to do nothing but scare, think again. Yes, the zombie genre tells you that you have to shoot every undead in the head to make sure they don’t come back, but this novel takes it a notch higher by building on the concept of teamwork, even if the people on which your survival depends are highly unlikeable. It is a wildly engaging zombie novel that is a breath of fresh air from the common American setting. It strongly reflects the Russian ethos in camaraderie, where favors and opportunities are provided on the merits of emotional trust. If Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote a story about the undead, Russian HellwayZ would be the outcome, and it is a must-read for its fresh take on a horror sub-genre. - Vincent Dublado
